Do you draft in pencil or whatever and then use ballpoint as just an interesting finishing medium? Or do you sit down with paper and just the pen and turn this whole thing out

I use a pencil but I have to erase about a billion times before I'm satisfied with my drawing, and yet your pen drawings are completely flawless! How do you manage to draw with a pen?
